clambering through the window of opportunity
So...
I recently got an email from a certain Ms. Tamara Williamson, for whom I'd done some recording in the fall of 2004, and she asked me to be in the house band for her annual Christmas show...! Why is this so great? Well, because of the show's history: it was begun by BNL (who occasionally still show up, I'm told) and is a benefit for Amnesty and a local food bank, and it often includes notable Canadian luminaries. In years past, the lineup has included Ron Sexsmith, Hawksley Workman, Mia Sheard, Sarah Harmer, Kurt Swinghammer, and even a surprise appearance by Daniel Lanois (!!).
Must be presentable, affable, prepared, charming, have cards ready... woo. What a blast though, huh?
